How it works
CMT V2 on the PAX A35: faster payments, higher tips and compliance that lasts.
Stop the meter and the fare passes to the PAX A35 in the passenger compartment. The passenger chooses a tip, taps their card or phone, and the payment is approved, with no re-keying.

Drivers paid every day
Payments are made 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. Choose to be paid daily, once a week or twice a week.
Compliant through to 2032
PCI approved until April 2032, while many devices in the market are expected to fall out of compliance within the next 6 months.

Dynamic tipping that adapts to the fare
Since introducing dynamic tipping, CMT drivers have reported a significant increase in tips. Passengers see options that make sense for their journey: fixed amounts on short trips and percentages on longer ones, with a sensible default already highlighted.
Compliance with the longest runway in the market
Most card terminals in London’s Black Cabs today, including the Miura M020, reach the end of their PCI approval on 30 April 2027, after which they fall out of scope for PCI compliance and TfL approval. Drivers and fleets on those devices face a forced hardware change within months. CMT’s PAX A35 is approved until 30 April 2032, so you switch once and stay compliant for years to come.
Digital and paper receipts
Passengers receive a digital receipt directly to their phone. Drivers can also print, and re-print, a paper receipt for recent trips on the compact in-cab printer, so every passenger leaves with a clear, professional record of their fare.
Passenger engagement and in-cab marketing on every journey
The PAX A35’s large colour screen opens the door to passenger engagement and in-cab marketing, which CMT UK is already developing. A more engaging, more polished trip experience is expected to bring passengers back more often and lift tips for drivers, and creates a new channel that drivers and fleets could benefit from.
